First Visit
During your first visit, a comprehensive dental examination will be completed, including any necessary x-rays, photographs, study models, or other diagnostic tests. We will be better able to evaluate your current dental health once we have reviewed this information and will make recommendations accordingly. Unless there is an emergency, actual dental treatment is usually scheduled for future appointments. We recommend that you arrive fifteen minutes early for this appointment to address any questions you may have. This initial appointment is approximately two hours in length.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your initial visit:
- Your referral slip and any x-rays (if applicable)
- A list of your current medications and allergies
- If you have dental insurance, please bring the pertinent information with you in order for us to assist you in the determination of benefits.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to dental treatment (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) .
PLEASE NOTE: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under the age of 18.
X-Rays
If you have x-rays from a previous dentist or physician, you may request that they forward them to our office. However, additional x-rays may be necessary for thorough comprehensive exam and diagnosis.
